Construction: editing

As the same as last year i wanted to use premiere pro as my editing tool for my music video.

I started by importing all of my raw footage into premiere pro and the song itself which i downloaded from youtube. The screenshot shows all of the footage i imported into premiere pro.

The first thing i did with all of my footage and sound was put the song in first, so i could gauge how long i would need to put the footage in for and how long it would need to be. Additionally, i had editing the song itself in adobe audition to make some changes to the into of the song, so it comes in gradually and not straight away.

My next step was to put all of my lip syncing scenes in and sync them up with the audio itself. This allowed me to make sure i had enough time for the other scenes within the music video.

After sorting out the lip syncing with the audio. I started putting in the raw footage, cutting it down to the correct size and putting it in a way that it tells a story to the audience of my music video.

I continued with making the story within the video, cutting it down to fit the size between the clips of Sam lip syncing

At this point i wanted to put my artists name and album title into the music video.
These pictures show me chasing a font and placing the text in the music video. To make my final choice on the font of the text, i asked my target demographic and made a tally of there responses. This is the font that was voted for the most, Called Baskerville.

After sorting out of the text at the start of the video i finished of with the rest of music video by putting in the rest of my raw footage. However i did notice that in a few of the lip syncing scenes that there was an orange hood in the side of the scene. This didn't seem very natural in the rest of the music video due to the tone of it, The bright colour makes the scene seem like a happy one, when in reality it should a more serious tone. So to fix this, i had to stretch out all of the scenes where this appears so that it was no longer in the scene
